Don’t Let the Idea Pass: How to Keep a Good Idea Alive

If you are anything like me- to remember something in full, I definitely have to write it down.

Especially when I first wake up which, sometimes tragically, is when my best ideas pop into my head. The other inconvenient time is when I am running. Somehow, I need to keep paper and pen next to my bed and a pad of paper in my running gear. Keep is the key word here- because I have set up these fail-safes; only to clean the house or my running gear later on and then of course my efforts have disappeared!

good ideas can happen anytime and for me they happen when I wake up
My best ideas often pop into the open the moment I wake up.

Can you relate?

We are so busy. Work, family, kids, house — the days blur into a relay race of responsibilities, and somewhere between the school run and the inbox, a good idea flickers past. You notice it. You think, “that’s interesting.” And then it’s gone, buried under the next urgent thing.

We are all trying to keep the dream alive and juggle all our responsibilities.

Here’s what I’ve learned: ideas don’t die because they’re bad. They die because we never give them anywhere to live.

That’s why I created the Cool Marks Journal. It’s not a diary of what already happened — it’s a journal for what’s next. When an idea shows up, you catch it on the page. And then the real magic starts: you come back to it. A second time, a third, a fourth, a fifth. Each visit, the idea gets sharper. What was a fragment becomes a plan. What was a “maybe someday” becomes a next step.

Cool Marks Journal That Christine Flagler Created. For your ideas to move forward.

This is the proven power of journaling — returning to an idea again and again is how you work it and level it up instead of letting it pass you by. The journal holds the thought so your busy brain doesn’t have to carry it alone.

You don’t need an hour of quiet. You need a page and five minutes. Write the idea down. Come back tomorrow. Watch it grow into something you can actually build.

Your future is written by the ideas you refuse to let pass. Write your future — one cool mark at a time.

I completely created this Journal through and through- no outsourcing! – and designed all of the affirmations and confirmations that are original on each page. This element is a critical one to me.
