I Was Abandoned at 15 years old- Journaling Helped.

Rarely have I shared this publicly. Why? Not sure. All my friends know it. It’s not shame. It’s just a past era that I have not tapped into a lot lately. I simply have passed through. it over time.

A bunch of us girls were doing a deep dive and sharing our pasts. Nothing new here, but for whatever reason, something twisted inside me. I have a different perspective now. Even though I was literally dropped off when I was just 15 years old, somehow I made my way through it. In some ways, better than most could expect. But my new perspective is reminding me that to be 15 and completely independent was quite the chapter in life!

Something changed. Now, I have a really fun mission- To share more and to do something positive for others that came from my experiences in those crazy times.

Oh my, do I have some stories. Can you imagine if you could literally do anything you wanted as a teenager? That was me. I think will come back and share some of them. They are real head shakers!

Suddenly though, that time period has been filling my mind. Thinking back, I recall the things that got me through it.

Journaling. (I also read a lot.) But, no doubt, writing things down was extremely beneficial. Back then, journaling was not studied as much. Now we have loads of scientific proof in how it helps.
